[Mobile] A very quick look at… Dynamic Chord Jam&Join!!!!

Dynamic Chord Jam&Join!!! was released on 9th of August 2018. It’s a mobile game for the franchise “Dynamic Chord” and was produced by ASGARD and Honeybee. It is also a slapped together quick cash grab using A3’s template to hopefully hone in the success of the winning formula of tap-tap games (E.G. Ensemble Stars, A3!) and get Moneybee & ASGARD some big cash from Dynamic Cord’s desperate fans.

Now I may be being too harsh on this with these accusations but goddamn… It was so hard for me to play this game without being annoyed or unnerved at how much of a ripoff this is. I didn’t want to take too much time making an in-depth video on this so I just recorded and gathered some clips and put it into a twitter moment. Have fun:

[Drama CD] Review – Midnight Jiangshi: Tenchou Yuugi (Chuchu)

It’s Halloween and what better way to spend the day than to listen to some jiangshi boyos having a hard time trying to drink some capri sun without the straw while moaning (it’s a weird habit that plagues many jiangshi). It’s a long time coming for me to review Chuchu, I think I said I’d do a review as soon as I got the CD but I just kept forgetting and things were eating away at my time, but here we are.

Chuchu was release back in May so this review is super late, I apologize for the wait and I hope this review isn’t a big fat poopoo. Anyway, here’s a copy-and-paste introduction I used for the previous reviews to keep everyone back on track on what this series is:

break

Midnight Jiangshi: Tenchou Yuugi is the follow up CD series of the original Midnight Jiangshi. Not sure whether to call it a sequel or anything seeing that CDs like these don’t have consistent continuity, I’m looking at you, Diabolik Lovers.

Everything is almost the same in this new series, except the fact that Meimei is missing/doesn’t have a CD in this series and there’s two new jiangshi/kyonshi. The main focus of this series is the new rivals and the lead up to the ‘Red Full Moon’, said to have a certain significance to the jiangshi.

I’ve reviewed Shushu and Reirei. If you want to read my review on the first Midnight Jiangshi series then click here, I’d recommend

[PS Vita] Review – Psychedelica of the AA-Nisus (Haitaka no Psychedelica)

Psychedelica of the AA-Nisus (or for the long version: “Psychedelica of the AA-Nisus. Snowdrop and Via-Kaleido stories for children”) is the second game in the Psychedelica series from Otomate, the first being Psychedelica of the Black Butterfly. It features a fully voiced cast–yes, the heroine is voiced and the voice actress does a great job at it. Artwork is done by the artist from the first game, Satoru Yuiga.

It is a ‘gothic romance’ set in a medieval fantasy where it focuses on this one town that has been cursed in an eternal winter by, what the locals suspect, a witch who’s eyes would glow red. The protagonist is Jed, having been raised as a male to hide the fact that she has the witch’s red eye, who acts as a peace keeper between the clashing clans–the Wolf Clan (Wolg) and the Hawk Clan (Falj ?, I’m not sure how to translate ファルジ). While the power struggle between the two clans over the town continues, a suspected serial killer called the “Black Shadow” has started to cause unrest within the town…

Just a heads up, this review will be from the point of view of someone who hasn’t played the first game. I won’t get the references of that game made in this game so I’m sorry.

 »Spoilers start from here onwards!«

If you don’t want to be spoilt then click here for my final thoughts

Honestly, this game is best played knowing nothing much beforehand

[Character Songs] Dance with Devils Unit CDs (Lindo vs Jek) & Ensemble Stars Unit CDs (UNDEAD + 2wink)

So the unit songs I ordered last month finally came, so I guess this will be a big haul of character songs lol. I bought the Dance with Devils Unit song with Lindo and Jek because why not? Actually I really love Wataru Hatano and his singing voice and Yuto Suzuki creates a perfect harmony when they’re singing together, I couldn’t get the song out of my head lol.

As for Ensemble Stars second season with the Unit songs, of course I would buy UNDEAD and 2wink seeing that I bought them last time. This will be a mini review on these CDs seeing this is all I can do for now without my usual laptop (luckily I have paint tool SAI on this laptop to make the featured image).

[Mobile] Quick Look at… IDOLiSH7 (Mini Review)

Idolish7 is a rhythm/idol simulator free-to-play app game produce by Bandai Namco Online (Bandai Namco’s app/free to play division), who also produced similar idol games such as iDOLM@STER and iDOLM@STER: SideM.

It released back in 2015 (20th August), I got into it in prolly October sometime and I’ve been meaning to write a ‘quick look at’ review last year but didn’t get around doing it because I had deleted it to make room for more music. But I’m back in because now I deleted all the songs I had on my iPod lol (tho I deleted my old accounted and restarted a new one).

In celebration of the release of ‘STORY 2’ and Re:vale, heres a mini review. I won’t be talking about Story 2 because I haven’t caught up yet but I’ll do a lil retrospective on how the game has improved/grown since my past play of it.
