[2021 Recap & Review] A Lifetime Contained in 1 Year

For real it felt like I lived at least 20 years worth of life events within this one year and this post’s title best describes what I felt about this year.

Just when we all hoped 2021 would be better than 2020 it just gets worse, huh.

For new readers or for readers who may forget what’s the point of these end of year recaps, basically I try my best to remember all sorts of stuff that happened in otome/josei-muke news, what I did during the year and small bite size reviews of those things I did/watch/play during 2021. I also have a lil summary of blog stats too. I’ll add a lil navigation thingy to make it easier to jump to the sections you want to read and skip the stuff you don’t want to.

So without further adieu, Billy’s (totally on time and not written and posted in the year of 2022) 2021 in a recap!

As always this one is gonna be a long read so get comfortable and probably mark the spot where you last read if you’re gonna take breaks (or stop reading lol).

[2020 Recap & Review] What can I say but…

Yikes.

I think this is probably the only year that all of us as a collective can say we did not like 2020 one bit. If you did think 2020 was good/great then… idk what to say to you lol.

Again, just like 2019’s recap post I am writing this from the future of 2021 (January 1st). But let’s pretend I actually buckled down on the 31st of December 2020 to write this post before midnight strikes. Like usual, my end of year recap & review posts are basically a way for me to dump some quick reviews of stuff I didn’t get around making dedicated posts for because I was either A) Lazy or B) Didn’t have time to finish a game to review it (bc I was lazy).

[Unboxing] BUSTAFELLOWS (Limited Edition) + Quick Look

Believe it or not this was sitting in a box in my room since December/January and only now (July 2020) have I decided to open it. I’ve got another LE sitting around waiting to be opened but that’s for another time.

Anyway let’s dig in to what the BUSTAFELLOWS LE has in store for us (as well as a little sneak peak into the game).

[2019 Recap & Review] Bunny Recaps 2019 – A year that felt like 3 years rolled into one

Hello from the future of 2020. I missed out on writing this post on time during New Years Eve, but with the help of time travel I will correct that (hopefully it works lol).

So, sorry for the delay folks but better now than never. This year’s recap post won’t have the separate pages to break up the post like last year considering how hard it was to find the page number buttons. I’ll try my best to make this post easy to read through with navigation bars.

[Unboxing] Gensoukissa Enchante (Limited Edition) + quick look

Back at it again with buying limited editions (I swear I’ll stop… after Busta Fellows LE comes home lol). This time I got Gensoukissa Enchante’s LE, mostly because I heard it came with a poster, turns out I should learn to read better because it turns out to be a “cloth poster”, kinda like a tapestry except without the cord and string to help hang it up.

Anyway let’s take a closer look at the contents.

[Nintendo Switch] Thoughts on… Private Academy VerRose ~The Rose of Versailles Re*Imagination~ (Trial Ver)

Private Academy VerRose is a re-imagination of a classic shoujo manga– “Rose of Versailles“–that will release on 23rd May. It is set in a private academy in modern day where the protagonist is an otaku who has a complex about her name being “Oscar”/”Osukaru”, named after the main hero of Rose of Versailles.

Otomate released the demo on the Nintendo eShop on the 9th of May. The demo covers the prologue and chapter 1 which ended in a cliffhanger of some sort. It’s about 1~2 hours worth of gameplay which gives you a good grasp of the story though it does miss out on formerly introducing two of the romanceable characters (or at least get the heroine to interact with them) but I guess that’s covered in later chapters.

I’ll be summarising the demo so it’ll have some spoilers so if you want to play this game blind and want to hear my spoiler-free thoughts click here.

[2018 Recap & Review] Bunny Recaps 2018 – A lazy long, but short year

Hewwo fellow kids, its that time of the year again where I write a very lengthy posts recapping this year of our lord 2018 and hoping people will read it because it is the only post I can write my thoughts on stuff that may not be otome related. I am your host Billy Billbus Baggins and this is the year that was.

[PC] Thoughts on… Jakou no Lyla Vol.1 (Trial Ver)

Jakou no Lyla Vol.1 releases on December, 21st 2018, thankfully Otomate was kind enough to release a trial version to tantalise us until its official release.

The demo is about an hour or so of the common route. You can get the trial yourself through this link. I’m not sure if need to change your computer locale to Japan or anything, seems to work just fine on my computer except for the Japanese on the setup window is replaced with strange symbols (same with the exe files being just jumbled symbols instead of Japanese).
