[Mobile] A very quick look at… Dynamic Chord Jam&Join!!!!

Dynamic Chord Jam&Join!!! was released on 9th of August 2018. It’s a mobile game for the franchise “Dynamic Chord” and was produced by ASGARD and Honeybee. It is also a slapped together quick cash grab using A3’s template to hopefully hone in the success of the winning formula of tap-tap games (E.G. Ensemble Stars, A3!) and get Moneybee & ASGARD some big cash from Dynamic Cord’s desperate fans.

Now I may be being too harsh on this with these accusations but goddamn… It was so hard for me to play this game without being annoyed or unnerved at how much of a ripoff this is. I didn’t want to take too much time making an in-depth video on this so I just recorded and gathered some clips and put it into a twitter moment. Have fun:

[Mobile] Review – Otome Yuusha (オトメ勇者)

Otome Yusha (オトメ勇者) released back in December 16, 2017 and because I was overseas when this happened I only started playing it around January this year. So after fiddling around with it for about a month I decided it was about time to review this mobile game.

I also wrote a previous post on Otome Yusha where I gathered information from the website before it was released and speculated what the gameplay would be like. I also translated character profiles so check it out here.

[Mobile] Otome Watch – オトメ勇者 – Otome Yuusha

Otome Yuusha (オトメ勇者) is an upcoming iOS/Android game by level-5, who is known for such games as the Professor Layton series, Inuzuma Eleven games and Yo-Kai Watch series. This will be their first attempt at making a game that is female oriented and hopefully unlike Square Enix’s first time attempt at making a female oriented game *coughKimikiricoughreallybadgamecough* they will be successful with Otome Yuusha.

This is game will be a collaboration between level-5 and A-1 Pictures–who will provide animated sequences for the mobile game–as well as character design from Chinatsu Kurahana, who also did character design for the Uta no Prince-sama games and Togainu no Chi, with her latest work being the illustrator and character design for Otomate’s 7’scarlet.

As usual with most of my ‘otome watch’ posts, I’ll be doing a rundown on the game, characters, story and system before it releases with the information that has been released at the time of writing this post. If there’s anything big in terms of new information, I’ll try to add it to this post.

I’ll be getting most of my information and images from the website, I’ll reference other Japanese articles but I won’t post the images posted from those articles here.

[Mobile] Quick look at… Sengoku Night Blood

Sengoku Night Blood is an ambitious mobile game, that is collaborated between Otomate, Marvelous and KADOKAWA. The mobile game is the starting point for a multi-media franchise, or so Otomate prolly hopes for.

I’m a little late to the party on reviewing this, mainly because something happened last month I couldn’t get around doing it, but hopefully my input on this game is still welcomed (even though some people may have already forgotten about this game). I’ll be quick about this review while putting my two cents on what I think about this game.

[Anime] Thoughts on… Roommate & One Room (Anime Review)

I was initially going to review RoomMate by itself but when I found out it was a spin-off of another anime that shares the same concept called One Room (replace the dudes in RoomMate with cute anime girls and that’s the anime), I decided, what the heck, I’ll check this one out and see if its any better than the dumpster fire that is RoomMate and y’know what it is. One Room isn’t exactly “anime of the year” material but at least it ain’t RoomMate.

So I’ll be using One Room as a way to compare and analyse RoomMate and see what exactly went so wrong. Just to make things clear, both of these animes are in the ‘first person anime’/’point of view anime’ genre much like my good ol’ friend Makura no Danshi (I take all the bad things I’ve said about it back now that I’ve watched RoomMate). One Room was released on January while RoomMate released afterwards in May, these animes run for about 4 minutes. Both share the same animation studio (legit thought it was by the same studio that did Makura no Danshi, guess I was wrong) as well as the same directors/writers/storyboarders/staff which kinda creates the problem of a staff going from catering to guys with One Room to catering to girls with RoomMate, usually the transition doesn’t go so well especially when both rely heavily on fanservice… which I’ll talk about later.

Anyway, lets get this shit show rolling.

[Drama CD] Review – Yuugen Romantica Uchouten (Utashiro & Merry/Mary)

Its October so that means its Halloween time for a whole month! What better way to celebrate than with a drama cd about yokai boys/urban myths lol How spooky.

I’ll be reviewing the Yuugen Romantica drama CDs for the next few days (hopefully get it done before November starts) Its been a while since I’ve done a review for a drama CD so bare with me. This time I’ll review the new characters from Yuugen Romantica Uchouten (the sequel to the first one), Utashiro the baku and Merry/Mary, based on the urban myth Merry-san/Mary-san.

My review for Toneri might be late because they haven’t shipped his CD to me yet lol.
