[Mobile] A very quick look at… Dynamic Chord Jam&Join!!!!

Dynamic Chord Jam&Join!!! was released on 9th of August 2018. It’s a mobile game for the franchise “Dynamic Chord” and was produced by ASGARD and Honeybee. It is also a slapped together quick cash grab using A3’s template to hopefully hone in the success of the winning formula of tap-tap games (E.G. Ensemble Stars, A3!) and get Moneybee & ASGARD some big cash from Dynamic Cord’s desperate fans.

Now I may be being too harsh on this with these accusations but goddamn… It was so hard for me to play this game without being annoyed or unnerved at how much of a ripoff this is. I didn’t want to take too much time making an in-depth video on this so I just recorded and gathered some clips and put it into a twitter moment. Have fun:

[Switch] Review – Ayakashi Koi Gikyoku -Forbidden Romance with Mysterious Spirit-

Ayakashi Koi Gikyoku started out as a mobile game and eventually got ported to the Nintendo Switch in April 2018. 4~5 months later it was ‘translated’ (I wouldn’t call it a translation, you’ll see why later) into English and now available in the Nintendo eShop in English since August 2nd, 2018. The story is about a five man visual-kei band called “FOX EAR” whose stage costume consists of the usual gaudy visual-kei fashion along with fox ears and a matching tail, because of plot the heroine, Suzuno, ends up being their assistant manager and hijinks ensues as Suzuno finds out that the band is made up of actual ‘foxes’.

Despite the English version having the choice to switch to Japanese text, I’ll be reviewing the English text version because oh boy is that a hot mess. Spoiler warning: It’s as if either DIGIMERCE (the game’s publisher) or OperaHouse (the game’s developer) ran the Japanese text through Bing Translate, slapped it back into the game and sold it on the eShop where no one involved in this process stopped and think “Hey wait a minute…”. If you can look at this official product description in the eShop and think this game will have a good translation then think again:

ayakashisynposis

Quick advice/opinion for those wanting to play this game: Don’t. It is almost unplayable for anyone who has zero knowledge of the Japanese language and rely heavily on English translation. If you can read Japanese or can hear and understand Japanese just buy the Japanese version in the Japanese eShop but for the love of God DONT BUY this version of this game, if the company sees they can get away with this god awful translation they’ll prolly do the same translation for their next couple of games.

Anyway, I managed to play this game to completion (in English) so I’ll do a run down for each route. So please keep reading if you want to know what went wrong here.

[Mobile] Quick look at… LibraryCross∞ – Mini Review

LibraryCross∞ is Otomate’s latest mobile game. It was developed with the help of Wright Flyer Studios and had been delayed for quite a bit until now… though you’ll never guess why it had been delayed until I reveal it later into this review. The mobile game centers around a group of strangers finding themselves trapped inside a library. It is also a crossover of a select few Otomate games, where the heroine would explore their worlds by jumping into a book.

Otomate has also planned for an anime to be made in the future (of course they are), which may mean that we’ll see Otomate characters crossover in anime form too–which won’t get weird whatsoever when there might be characters with the same voice actor talking in the same scene (just kidding, I’ve yet to see characters with the same voice interact in the game).

This review is gonna be mighty quick and messy because….. yeesh, I just can’t bring myself to play it anymore but I also feel like I should talk about it on this blog. Fair warning, this review might be biased because it’s heavily based on my opinion. So if you don’t want to be swayed by my opinion and you want to give this game the benefit of the doubt, I’d suggest trying it out and form an opinion by yourself.

[Drama CD] Review – Midnight Jiangshi: Tenchou Yuugi (Reirei)

Midnight Jiangshi: Tenchou Yuugi is the follow up CD series of the original Midnight Jiangshi. Not sure whether to call it a sequel or anything seeing that CDs like these don’t have consistent continuity, I’m looking at you, Diabolik Lovers.

I’ll be reviewing Shushu and Chuchu along with Reirei. If you want to read my review on the first Midnight Jiangshi series then click here, I’d recommend

[Drama CD] Review – Midnight Jiangshi

I was planning to do a post where I try out three new Drama CDs series and tell my opinion on it and whether I’ll continue but days past, days turned into weeks which turned into months and I bought new CDs from the series and then just a while ago they all ended at once (March, I think). So I may as well do posts based on each series lol. I’ll have a bonus review on an extra drama CD series I bought once I finish reviewing all three drama cd series.

One of the new series I tried out from last season (?, do they go by seasons. tho they go over two seasons so im not sure whats the right term), was Midnight Jiangshi by Rejet. Or as Rejet likes to call it “Midnight Jiang Shis”, which is prolly the incorrect term….

Its one of those blood sucking CDs and I was kinda under the impression they’d be more like zombies/the undead than vampires. Tho they’re just plain old vampires with Chinese origin. Silly me.

The CDs I bought out of the 6 are: MeimeiReirei and Riei.

[Mobile] Quick Look at… IDOLiSH7 (Mini Review)

Idolish7 is a rhythm/idol simulator free-to-play app game produce by Bandai Namco Online (Bandai Namco’s app/free to play division), who also produced similar idol games such as iDOLM@STER and iDOLM@STER: SideM.

It released back in 2015 (20th August), I got into it in prolly October sometime and I’ve been meaning to write a ‘quick look at’ review last year but didn’t get around doing it because I had deleted it to make room for more music. But I’m back in because now I deleted all the songs I had on my iPod lol (tho I deleted my old accounted and restarted a new one).

In celebration of the release of ‘STORY 2’ and Re:vale, heres a mini review. I won’t be talking about Story 2 because I haven’t caught up yet but I’ll do a lil retrospective on how the game has improved/grown since my past play of it.
