Kurenai no Homura Sanada no Ninpou Chou – 28th June – Otomate

It’s been a while since I made a post (a couple of weeks is pretty much a long while for me lol) but rest assured I’m almost halfway finished with this project I’ve been working on last month, which involved a lot of hours recording Kimikiri stuff. If you haven’t heard, Square Enix is shutting down Kimikiri in June and that’s why I’ve been racing to record almost everything Kimikiri has to offer and oh boy was the bugs, glitches and awkward animations glorious. Ever since the launch day of Kimikiri I swore to myself to record almost everything so it won’t be forgotten and swept under the rug haha. You can call it wasted effort but I don’t regret a single moment. All I gotta do is just put all the recordings into mp4 form and check to see there’s nothing wrong with each recording and then I can be on my way “regularly” posting (I put it in quotes because I post mostly irregularly).

I have another post in mind that I’m anticipating to write on when things are sorted so hopefully it’ll be worth it. Now onto this month’s overview in games…

Dynamic Chord feat. apple-polisher for V is a PS Vita port of a PC game. Just like the previous Dynamic Chord PS Vita ports it’ll have both the original PC game and the fandisc/append disc (which includes a new character route of the other band member) combined into one neat game cartridge.

Kurenai no Homura Sanada Ninpou Chou is a new PS Vita game by Otomate that retells the story of Sanada and his group of ninjas (e.g. Sanada Ten Braves). Character design and art is by Shiki Sakigumi, also known for work in Hakuouki, replacing original artist Kazuki Yone. They’re still going for that Hakuouki look in terms of character design but this time with an unusual coloring style, while Kazuki Yone has improved as an artist it seems like the copcat artist is stuck with the old Hakuouki era Kazuki Yone style 😆 Also damn gurl you know I love it when you have have a featureless face in CGs, reminds me of a mannequin.

Tlicolity Eyes Vol.1 is Otomate’s first visual novel to be made specifically for the PC (not talkin’ about ports to PC), it is volume 1 out of 3 for the Tlicolity Eyes series and part of the triAngle Project (PC games with the running theme of love triangles). In Tlicolity Eyes there are three sisters, each having two suitors whom they wind up in a love triangle. Volume 1 focuses on the youngest sister who is a budding actor, with her two suitors being an actor and a president of an entertainment office. Art work and character design for this series is by Sarachi Yomi.

Mahoutsukai to Tenshi to Akuma is an R18 BL game for the PC by an indie brand called Varenyett. The story is about a magic user/witch whose grandfather had to teleport him to an unknown place to save him from being hunted by humans, eventually an angel and devil find him and it’s up to him on who he will put his trust in.

That’s about it for this month, hopefully I didn’t miss anything haha.

Thanks for reading.

  1. Hoo boy first volume of Tlicolity Eyes is finally coming out. I can’t wait to see if it’s a train wreck or worth that price tag haha to be honest I kind of like the concept behind tlicolity eyes but iirc someone on twitter added up the prices of the games and it was a pretty astounding amount? Lmao so unless it literally blows my mind out of the water I’ll probably skip out on it… or buy it on a discount if it’s just good lol. I don’t think I know anybody who preordered tlicolity eyes actually, now that I think about it.

As usual though thanks for the post~

    1. I was about to say it’s kinda normal for a PC game to be that price until I checked that it was a whopping 4,298 yen when compared to the first volume of Taisho Alice at around 3,000 something yen lol. I’m kinda hoping that it’ll be put into one whole package one day, maybe ported to PS Vita or Switch which would be at an appropriate price for the amount of content. Hopefully Otomate’s venture into PC games doesn’t fail so bad that it makes the company bankrupt like QuinRose.

      1. Haha I thought the same thing at first too until I took a closer look and I was like what the actual heck www. I’m guessing they’ll probably port it in the future, esp if their venture into the Switch ends up going well. Sliiiightly worried about the future of otome gaming right now but hopefully that’s just me being paranoid haha….
